trouble playing a .wav file to completion

Hello,
I am using LV 7.0 and am trying to play a .wav file using the "Snd Play Wave File" VI. It works well, it is just that it only plays 1/3rd of the file and then shuts off, even though the 'wait until finish' input is wired true. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to how to overcome this problem. Thanks

Hi Joe,

Are you able to listen to the wave file in its entirety outside of LabVIEW? Are you outputting the .wav file to your computer speakers or another piece of analog output hardware? Do the LabVIEW sound VIs play other wave files to their entirety?

If the problem does this seem to be isolated to LabVIEW and how it plays wave files, you might want to then see how the sound output is configured in LabVIEW. I’ve attached an example program below that hopefully will help demonstrate how to use the sound output VIs. Try running this program on your wave file. I was able to use it in LabVIEW 7.0 on the yahoo.wav without probs.
