We need to use a parallel port on a computer as data input, since we havent found any direction or advise, or just couldnt find it, we were looking for some help.
We have a "TV pattern generator" and a licensed Labview
1) Is there any VI or similar for labview that uses parallel port as data input?
2) Can we generate tv signals, simple pattern signals like circles or squares in labview?
Hello there. As for your question regarding the data input as parallel port, it is quite easy to achieve this: I send you some information on the parallel port and a VI that outputs the signal through the parallel port. The idea is pretty much the same if you wish to input the signal, you'll just have to use the opposti function (In Port).
Some of the info is in Spanish, but you may find the diagramas useful.
