update txt file

Can someone help and tell me how can i update a txt file, without dellet this or overwriting?

If you are using the write to text file command all you need to do is use the Get File Position.vi and Set File Position.vi from the Advanced FIle Functions menu, this will allow you to append data to your file.  Let me know if you need more info.

now i have another doubt. i have a table with my data in txt file, that i want to compare with the data that i receive from the serial port type 1: if the value that i receive from the serial port matches the onde that i have on my table, it shows the name; and if i receive two values, i only want to show thw first one. can you help me dp this? perhaps with an example.. i´m only starting to learn the concepts

and do you think i shoul do this wiht a file or a matrix?
