using log in the formula

Hello,
It is a student from Istanbul. I've been trying to use log in a formula but havent achived yet. I want to enter the base of the log and then the value and want to take the result. I know it must be very easy but i still couldn find how it works. I'll really appraciate it if someone please tell me. Ciaoo

I think the user is asking about using the log function in a formula node or Mathscript. Those only support log base 10 or log base 2. Anything else you need to use the LabVIEW function, as noted above.

Hello,

You can also use the change of base formula in the MathScript or formula node to compute the logarithm with an arbitrary base.  That is, if you can compute log base a (denoted here as log_a) of a number, then the logarithm of a different base b is computed as
log_b(x) = log_a(x) / log_a(b)
