view labview data over the internet

Hello,

I'm wanting to be able to view the data acquired by my labview program over the internet, I've been reading about Adobe Flex, Web Services, Remote Panels... yadda yadda yadda, but I'm setting this up in my company's network and I'm sure it's pretty heavily firewalled, I don't know anything about networking, so my question is this:

What do I need to ask/find out from my IT guys to figure out if it's even possible for me to set up what I'm trying to set up...

I think I might be able to get a little space on their server... which I'm guessing would make my VI available to view within our company network... then I hear that maybe you can "VPN" into that, but I'm not sure...

anyway, I'm just trying to figure out the right questions to ask IT to make sure it's even feasible before I spend more time reading about remote panels and all that stuff

much appreciated

Why not look into some stuff on "Web Publishing Tool" if you don't need others to actually control the VI, but just see what the front panel is showing. That will require a lot less effort. However, it sets your end up as a server i believe (someone correct me if i'm wrong.) That is what you will want to ask your IT about because that is something I have run into before on my school network (didn't want my box to be set up as a server). I bet if you explain what you want to do they will be able to help you without you needing a specific set of questions to ask.
