Thank you for sharing your experiences. The mouse event problem was first reported by one of our customers who was running the application in Windows XP VM in Parallels on Mac. I have changed some mouse settings in VirtualBox but the problem remains. Anyway, good to know that it seems to works in LV 2015 and in VMware. By the way, have you run your example application in VirtualBox?

Hi again
I just installed my LV 8.2.1 executable in VMware 9.0.1 (under Windows XP, SP3). No mouse events are generated here either! So the problem seems to be in this version of LV.

Hi again
I recently discovered that when I try to run the LabView executable on an older dedicated PC with a normal Windows XP (SP3) installation, mouse events are not generated here either. Strangely enough the same executable works fine on a second, slightly newer, PC (also with Windows XP (SP3)). It should be noted that running the *.vi from within the LabView development system, everything works fine on both computers. Are there som specific drivers missing or is there a bug in Application Builder?? To be honest I am getting very frustrated over this problem and I would really appreciate if anyone can come up with a solution.
Best regards

Mats,
Can you post a small example routine that demonstrates the Mouse Failure you are seeing? As I noted, I don't seem to be having failures, though I haven't tested LabVIEW 8.2.1 (do I even have that version? Yes, I think so ...). I can build a VM, install 8.2.1, and see if it works for me ...

Hello
It's a bit embarrassing to admit this but an external PMT base was added to our system recently and the corresponding drivers were then separately installed on the PC that, I mentioned, worked fine. By mistake the same drivers were not included in the Application Builder installer so when the executable was installed on a second PC or in VirtualBox (from scratch) these drivers were of course missing, which caused the Labview application to hung during initialization. Since buttons responded to mouse clicks but no events were generated in the event structure of the block diagram it was a bit confusing and led me in the wrong problem-finding direction. Anyway I am happy that the problem now has been fixed.
Thank you for your participation and a Happy New Year!
