Dear shingy,

It is possible to acquire images from multiple cameras simultaneously. I need to know a little more information before I can help your further:

Can you expand upon what you mean by lp camera? What type of camera is it (firewire, GigE, analog,...)? Do you have the manufacturer and model number?
What version of LabVIEW are you using?

Here is an example using the IMAQdx driver that should work for both GigE and Firewire cameras, assuming that your cameras are compatible. In acquiring from multiple cameras at the same time, you must be careful not to to exceed the maximum available bandwidth. This can be accomplished by setting the acquisition parameters and video modes for your cameras in MAX.

Please let me know some more details, and if you have questions about the example and above explanation, and I'll try to elaborate further.

i just only want to use two common camera

Dear Shing,

The driver that you will need to acquire images from your cameras is dependent on the type of cameras that you have. You will need

NI-IMAQdx if you have either Firewire or GigE cameras

NI-IMAQ if you have either Analog, Digital, or CameraLink cameras

NI-IMAQ for USB if you have a USB camera (webcam)

Now this part can be a little confusing:

NI-IMAQdx is a licensed driver that you need to pay for. NI-IMAQ & NI-IMAQ for USB are both free. NI-IMAQ and NI-IMAQdx are bundled together with a couple other pieces of software in what is called the Vision Acquisition Software. NI-IMAQ for USB comes as a stand-alone driver.

Both the Vision Acquisition Software and the NI-IMAQ for USB are available for download on ni.com. If you need the NI-IMAQ driver, don't worry about the licensing prompts for NI-IMAQdx. NI-IMAQdx will revert to a 30-day trial, but you will be able to use NI-IMAQ beyond that.

Dear Shing,

Unfortunately you will not be able to acquire from two USB cameras at once. It is a known limitation of this driver. See the driver page below for more details:
