Probably not enough rights? Try to run it as Administrator.

vipm is VI Package Manager, a tool distributed by JKI (http://jki.net/vipm). You may also want to look at their support forum for it here: http://forums.jki.net/forum/5-vi-package-manager-vipm/

really, I linked to the vipm download from "NI Free add ons".

Page below makes it seem like an NI product, but I now realise it's from JKI

I'll check out this laptop I'm using and the jki help forums, many thanks

I give up, can't get VIPM to install under Windows XP, initially got extraction error when running the .exe file.  Then I got through the installation sequence but now when I try to start VIPM I get the windows error "This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem".  Re-installing does not work.  Been through lots of posts on the VIPM help forum, looks like it's riddled with bugs.  My settings.ini file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\JKI\VIPM contains only "[General] IsFirstLaunch = "TRUE"", so I figure VIPM never actually runs otherwise this file would contain details about my LabVIEW software.

Is there a way to access the NI supplied code without installing VIPM ?
