webcam without vision

Hello everybody,

I'm using the .vi suggested here :http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/acquiring-a-webcam-image-without-vision-toolbox/m-p/846420/highlight...

and it work fine, I was wondering if it is possible to acquire a screenshot whenever needed by adding something to this code. I need to acquire screenshot a couple of times while the .vi is running and I need to save these screenshots in image files (one file for each screenshot). Any suggestion?

Hello Elena_vsc,

I have a couple of questions if you do not mind answering them.

Are you are referring to Snapshot_Example_LV71.zip or to WebCam_LV71.zip ?

Do you want to acquire these screenshots at certain intervals (i.e. once every ten seconds), at an event occurring or once an operator has pressed a button?

This link gives a good example on how to convert your image into an object on your clipboard for later use, however, a little more information on your application would greatly help us figure out the best way forwards.
