Did you mean:

what is the difference between "AutoScale" and "AutoScale once now" in scalefit peroperty??

I've made a simple VI to check it but couldn't get a clear idea.

Hello tingyulou,

just from the names I would say:
"AutoScale once now" just scales when you say so, but when (after scaling) new data is supplied, the scaling may be wrong/bad. When you select "AutoScale" instead then whenever new data is supplied the graph scales again to fit the data.

But that's just a suggestion, I didn't test it...

Hi,

When "AutoScale" is set to true the scale of the graph will automatically be fitted so that all the points are visible. This will be done all the time while the property is set to true. This means that if the range of the data you are plotting changes, the graph scale will update automatically.

"AutoScale once now" with fit the scale so that all points currently in the graph are visible. It will do that only once. This means that if the range of the data you are plotting changes, the graph scale will NOT update automatically.

I would be hard to notice the difference between these two in you VI since it's plotting random numbers and the range is always 0-1.

Good luck,

Marcela

to add to the "Architect Supreme" (ben's name for marcela) or "Mrs Management" (bjd's name for marcela) comments 🙂

when autoscale is on by default the cpu demands are higher then when autoscale is not on by default. Every update of the graph requires the autoscaling and possible repainting of the display. Autoscale once will let you control when the cpu is being abused. Hope this helps
