This is why it is always good to have source code control over your projects.  This will take care of having to make backups of individual vis.

I work with version 2011 now. NI Labview has very strange behavior. So far 2011 seems to be the most stable. But everyons PC is configured differently. I installed a software program from a cad company and it killed my print spooler. After uninstalling the software the spooler is working. So as far as I am concerned we will always have problems with labview. Labview is intensive software package and the most frustrating software I have used. In 4 years with labview I can put VIs together very fast.

 

But I come with a background of C, Java and C#. Labview will confuse any programmer who thinks of FIFO.
