I believe the question is LabVIEW related and the poster is looking for Number AN006 in the following List of NI application notes [broken link removed].

I think the inquiry here is for one of the oldest NI app notes, "Developing a LabVIEW Instrument Driver". (I note that altenbach has beaten me to the punch while I was composing!) There are references to this document as AN006 scattered all over the place, but I think that exact document might have been retired in its traditional PDF format. Maybe not.

My belief is that the closest match is the Developer Zone document entitled "Developing LabVIEW Plug and Play Instrument Drivers". The person doing the inquiring here should probably check out all the resources available from the main NI Instrument Driver Network page and then follow up here if there are still unanswered questions.
