We have several programs operating here. We support LabVIEW 5.1 through 7.0 and OSs from W95 to W2000.
We've had crashes in all systems. W9x, WNT, W2000, all seem about the same. The 9x systems seem better for program "determinism". Not as much OS "overhead". W2000 seems better if not connected to a network. I sometimes develop with WxP in an environment with LabVIEW 5.1 to 7.0 installed. Still crash sometimes. In W2000 and WxP, the OS usually stays stable. In W9x and WNT, the OS sometimes crashes along with the program.
As with any Microsoft OS, speed and memory both help.

It reboots approx every 5 seconds.
I am actually wishing that NI would get into the OS business... 😉
