wire usb-6009 for mux

I need to use a usb-6009 (or the like) daq to wire it for 1 to 4 mux, comports (rs232 wiring). Since this is not an outright 2 pole switch I was wondering if anyone has a good idea on how to run the connection to the usb-6009 for mux. As you know, its got gnd, +-AIO and digital connections.

I have some ideas not sure if it will do as needed.

Why?

Can't you just use the ordinary way with 4 RS232 ports ?

One card or one USB device with four ports or four USB to RS232 adaptors, seems cheaper that the cheapest dig out dev. ,needs no confusing programing/switching ....
