The "Write To Spreadsheet File.vi" writes a text file and not an excel file. You could use the report generation toolkit

https://www.ni.com/en/shop/labview/select-edition.html or maybe, with modifications, http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-2081.

Try the example:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\examples\comm\ExcelExamples.llb\Excel Macro Example.vi

Actually, a better example would be Write Table to XL. Just use the Example Finder (Help -> Find Examples) to find it. You can also peruse the Excel thread for lots of links to other examples on how to control Excel from LabVIEW.

Hi,

Try to save it as Book1.xls. Put this filename in the path.

But this method of using spreadsheet is not good in feature wise.

As in the above messages the examples are quite good.

Regards
