xen client virtual machine, USB picoscope 4824 dll call fail

Hello,

we have a machine with two virtual machines win 7 and win XP on a xen client enterprise.

i have a usb picoscope 4824. i am using the labview example that came with along with their drivers. i built it into exe. it works fine on a normal win 7 laptop but when i run the same exe on a win 7 inside XEN client it is not even finding the usb pico device, gives me an error.

i tried the picoscope program that they provide, it works both on normal win 7 and win 7 inside XEN. this makes me think that the this can be XEN client issue communicating to a usb driver some how but i dont see a reason why it should also work on a normal win 7.

is it labview not playing well with XEN or USB issue. how to debug this?

plz help

Hello,

What kind of error do you get when you try to run the exe on the XEN computer? Do you have the Picoscope drivers installed in the XEN computer? For an executable to work in another computer, you must make sure that you have the same Run Time Engine version installed as the LabVIEW version you used to develop the executable. Do you know if you have the correct version? Have you tried looking for your device in the Windows Device Manager in the XEN computer?
