Active X broken on one PC with Labwindows CVI 5

One Windows 2000 PC when I select Tools->Create Active X Automation Controllers responds with an error message: "The System cannot find the file specified". Another Windows 2000 PC and a WinNT PC both work fine and find the installed Active X controls. What's wrong with the first PC?
Thanks

Hello,

As you know, Labwindows/CVI provides a Wizard to use the objects that an Automation server exposes in a Labwindows/CVI program. It sounds as if Labwindows is not able to find the file that runs this Wizard. In your Labwindows folder, there should be another folder called "wizard". It should be another folder called "autoctrl" that contains two files, both of which are called "autowz". One is a bitmap image and the other is a Labwindows/CVI User Interface Resource. First, confirm the path to these two files when running on one of the computers that works correctly (the path may differ from the one I have suggested looking in). Then look to see if these files are located in the same path on the computer that is causing the error. You may need to either u
ninstall and reinstall Labwindows/CVI or copy the files into the correct path so that they can be found when you select Tools->Create Active X Automation Controllers.

I hope that this helps. If you have further interest in creating ActiveX Automation Controllers in Labwindows/CVI 5, please refer to the link below. This is a knowledge base that can also be found by searching our website at www.ni.com/support that explains the steps to take when creating ActiveX objects in Labwindows/CVI 5.0.
