ActiveX, control does not support persistence

I've been having problems with editing of a project using the richtx32.ocx activeX control. The project was developed on a Windows XP SP2 system running CVI 7.1. When the project was ported onto a Windows Embedded XP SP2 running the same version of CVI, I get problems editing the rich text box control although the project compiles and runs OK.

When I attempt to edit the control on the UIR I get a message "This activeX control does not support persistence. You will not be able to copy, edit, or save this control"

I have tried different versions of the activeX control without success. Also I cannot add a new rich text control onto the form as this returns a message "ActiveX control error"

Any help please?

Hi,

Windows XP Embedded is not officially supported to run LabWindows/CVI . I would suggest the ActiveX error is related to XP Embedded.
