Are any particular makes of PC processor/motherboard recommended for use with cvi?

We're using cvi 7.0. In general we have no real problems with it, but on dual-Athlon AMD PCs we've seen various odd behaviours. In particular any anti-virus software results in catastrophic crashes of the PC, but only after cvi 7.0 is installed.

There are no recommended makes of PC processor/motherboard, and the readme files state the recommended system requirements. I have never used an Athlon chipset so have no experience, but I can say that I haven't seen a problem with my Dell, and that uses a Pentium processor.
