CVI 8.1 Raised Exception Error

I am seing more exception error on the CVI 8.1 platform, One I think I found the reason. In CVI 8.1 in the Clasic Display mode, using an instrument function panel I tried to insert the function call into an open CVI c file, this action raised an Exception error. Then I tried to set the target file using the set target file button. the pop-up dialog box appeared with all of the open available C files but what was interesting is the "Current target file: " name was garbage... it looked like left-over data in memory from an undeclared pointer. Once I selected a valid file this exception quit occuring. If I get this to hapen again, I will try to capture screen shots unless this has been obsurved and fixed...

Hi Chip,

I know this a late reply, but if you could perhaps give me step by step information about how to reproduce the exception, this would help us out a lot. I tried reproducing your steps on my machine but was unable to receive the exception.  Any additional information would be helpful.

Thanks

ASIC IIBU Tech,

Any chance you are using the Tab key while composing your post? It moves focus to the "Submit Post" button, making the next press of <Enter> submit your post.

I have not seen this occur any more. Bad build? I am not sure so until I get a clear process to get this to happen regularly I am ignoring this situation as a one-time fail. (ouch!). anyway, like I stated, once I filled in that target setting the error did not reappear... Sorry.

Yea... how do I clear off the silly 6 responses that I goofed up on? I don't see a delete.
