CVI Legacy Drivers

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm trying to locate a couple of CVI drivers for some legacy instrumentation, namely hp66xxa.fp and hp6xxxa.fp (and related files) used on an old CVI 4.01 project. I found mention of them in a list here, but when I followed the links to the the NI ftp site mentioned there was nothing of use there - have they been moved or deleted? A separate search of the site resulted in a discovery of hp66xxa.zip and hp6xxxa.zip files, which I eagerly downloaded only to find that they contained LabView drivers.Smiley Sad

If anyone could point me to where I might find these files I would be most grateful.

Hi JR,

did you check here ? It's an updated release from 2010, so probably it's different from the version you are looking for but still it might be useful...

Thanks Wolfgang but I had already found that set of drivers and rejected them. With a brief of changing as little as possible from the original source code I am reluctant to dive into it and change all the function calls - there are bound to be differences in implementation that need a re-design which the budget just won't stretch to. (We're talking about hundreds of source files.)

Of course, if all other options fail then I may have to revisit this approach. Kudos for trying!

Isn't this good for you?

This is an old CVI driver for hp66xxa Power Supply.

And this one is for hp6xxxa.

Hope this helps

That's the same link as Wolfgangs! With my same response, I'm sorry to say.

That's the same link as Wolfgangs! With my same response, I'm sorry to say.

The link in the Wolfgang's post points to a page with a driver version 3.1.0 updated in 2010; and if you press "Download driver now" you download a setup.exe file. Moreover in this page there is also the LabVIEW driver.

My links point to pages with old drivers (GPIB interface), released in 1995 and 1996 and not updated. Moreover in these pages there are only CVI drivers.

I don't know if these drivers are good for you, but they aren't the same as Wolfgang suggested Smiley Wink

Vix,

I DO beg your pardon - I saw that the first few and the last few characters of the two web page addresses were the same, and that the top of the webpages themselves looked the same, and jumped to the wrong conclusion. Those zip files do look promising - thank very much and have some Kudos!
