CVI and GIS

I need to superimpose some data from my CVI program over digital maps.

I've seen there are a lot of GIS tools usable under many environments, a lot of them are even freeware or available in demo.

I'd like to have any feedback from who experienced these kind of tools with Labwindows.

My needs are:
- draw markers or lines in the relevant Lat-Long position,
- map zoom and pan,
- capability to use common maps format (e.g. shapefile),
- easy to use.

Thanks for contacting National Instruments. I have not personally used GIS with CVI, but I have heard good things about Polaris. In another post someone has stated:

From looking at the website, it looks like it meets the requirements of your four needs below

- draw markers or lines in the relevant Lat-Long position,
- map zoom and pan,
- capability to use common maps format (e.g. shapefile),
- easy to use.
