CVI for LINUX

I have to product some ATE software and am looking around at
what s/w to use. CVI looks a good bet except I CANNOT run it on
Linux. It would be an easy choice if it did.

CVI plus Tcl/Tk or Perl scritping on a high quality platform would really
be ideal

I'm also a CVI user for many years. It seems be ideal have CVI running under
LINUX. Are there somebody outthere (in NI) that can see the advantages?
Well, we the users, are absolutely boring using an OS like Windows that are
imposible to use in minimal real time or stability requirements.

LINUX does not have anything to provide for real-time... Otherwise I'd be
using it since the first day.

We have considered the possibility of porting CVI to the Linux platform.
However, so far the demand for CVI for Linux is much to low to warrant the
R&D and technical support investment that would have to be made. We have
definately not ruled this option out though, and if anyone is interested
in CVI for Linux, please e-mail me with the type of application and number
of licenses so that we can keep a good judge on the demand for CVI/Linux.

Hi,
I am a CVI programmer. It will be great if we can run our CVI applicaitons on Linux. Our users are fade up of instability of windows. We wish to port our applications to Linux. Can we do it?

Thanks

Yeah, I'm bringing this one back from the dead, CVI would be great in Linux, I have the whole Labview package here but CVI is all I ever use. I'm considering kicking NI out totally if there's no Linux port soon.

We have considered a port of CVI on Linux and we have tracking requests for this. It would help if you could describe what kind of requirements you have. Are you looking for a port of the CVI runtime or the full development enviornment for Linux?

Thanks

I am looking for a port of the full development environment. What I'm interested in the most is perhaps a GTK implimentation of the GUI editor and access to the non_windows_specific libraries.
