Hello Robert,

The short answer is no.  As noted on page 24 of the M Series User Manual, "SCXI is not supported on the NI 6221 (37-pin) or USB-625x devices."  For USB connectivity, you can still use the SCXI-1600.

Hello Jarold,

NI Measurement & Automation catalog (2006), page 183, Table 2, suggests the following devices could be used to control SCXI modules: SCXI-1600, M Series DAQs, PCI 68-pin E Series, DAQCard 6036E, DAQCard 6062E, etc.

I wanted to verify I can surely use either USB 6259 DAQ or, 68-pin PCI 6221 DAQ to control SCXI modules. Would you please verify again for me?

Thank you in advance.

Robert

Hello Robert,

You can use the 68-pin PCI-6221 (not the 37-pin version) to control your SCXI modules.  You cannot use the USB-6259 to control the SCXI modules.  Again, for USB connectivity, use the SCXI-1600.
