Hi David,

A few questions:

1) Is it giving you any type of error message when uninstalling? That's helpful information for our debugging purposes.

2) Are you trying to uninstall all of Measurement Studio 6, or just the CVI portion using Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel?

FYI, if you uninstalled CVI successfully, but you still see leftover files, those are there because Microsoft's Installer does not remove folders/files created AFTER you installed the program. So you might still see files inside C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MeasurementStudio\CVI. You can manually delete those files (configuration, leftover code, etc) yourself.

Exactly what do you mean by "CVI cannot uninstall fully"? What version of CVI are you trying to uninstall? Did you have a beta version of CVI 7.0 on your system? If so, you need to go to Control Panel >> National Instruments Software or "NI Software" and then select CVI 7.0 Beta.
Let me know if that's not the case.

Hello David McClelland,

1) Not any error message ,but after finish the uninstall , I can still see the application name in the "Add/Remove..." dialog.

2)I want to use CVI's SCC tools ,when click the "Create" button , it always prompt me "No Source code provider found " , so I need to uninstall CVI , but not success , it also not prompt any error message , when reinstall MSTUDIO ,there are some options : Modify , Remove , Repair .

David,

Since Measurement Studio 6 and CVI 6 are integrated, I would suggest that you completely remove the entire Measurement Studio 6 application from your PC, then reinstall it. I hope that fixes the problems you are experiencing.

My CVI version is 6.0 , and did not install 7.0 version . I just want to reinstall it so that I can use the SCC option .
