Cannot install distribution from other users

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi, I have tried to install Distribution packages generated by 2 users of CVI 2009, but they all fail. If I generate a distribution in my machine it runs fine.

Any way to trace what is going on during the installation ?

Thanks

Hi apritsop,

Here's a KnowledgeBase article that shows some install options you can apply when installing from the Command Prompt.

What Are the Options With a Command Line Install for the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine for Windows?

You'd want to use the /l with a filename for your log. Use the 'e' option to show all errors.

Also, do you get an error message and error number when you try to install? Could you post those here?

Thanks and have a great day!

It was actually that the folder I was running did not allow me to write on it.

Thanks
