Computer randomly re-boot when access the data acquisition

I run winXP, labWindows 6 and Ni-daq 6.9.3 with PCI-6031E installed. My computer randomly reboot when I compile my LabWindows code that need access to the DAQ (send input, gather data etc). It does not reboot when I run simulation code only (i.e. does not need access to DAQ). It could happen many times in a day.
The following is the error message after re-boot.
*** Stop : 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF7724AFF, 0XF033FA08, 0X00000000)
*** nipalk.sys - Address F7724AFF base at F76F0000 Datestamp 3C3a60e9.

The computing support in my dept indicated to me that it appears to refer to a hardware driver incompatibility with my version of Windows.
I did couple of things as suggested either by the computing support or
Ni technical support, e.g.
-upgrade Ni-daq (it was Ni-daq 6.9.2).
-uninstall and install DAQ after upgrading.
-download and install all necessary windows xp update.
-use another DAQ (I had another PCI-6031E installed in another computer, OS win98).

Any suggestion what to do ? Thanks a lot ...

That definately sounds like a problem that our driver is having. You should contact our support engineers (http://www.ni.com/ask) and work with them to reproduce the problem. Then we can see if we can resolve the problem or recommend an alternative solution.

I have similar problems:

I switched from Windows 2000 on Dell Dimensions to Windows XP on IBMs. Now, the computers will randomly reboot when I go to MAX and sometimes while developing code. Vi files get corrupted and I must copy a saved version.

These IBMs have lots of IBM software as well as company specific software.
