Distribution Kit Error

Thanks for your time ..... and your ideas

1.- I went to your previous e-mail ...but I was not sure about the issue(what you want me to 'check')

a.- The 'link' you sent me (?)  seems to deal with 'errors' during the DIST KIT's creation, but in my case I did not get any errors

it stops because a module (device driver NOV 2008 )was not found

b.- My CVI distribution kits 'builder' works OK with any other application I have tried , but these others applications

are very simple (not using Dll.lib, etc)

2.-  So, if my CVI Rev 9.x is working OK and can create Distribution Kits with any other application, I am trying to

find the possible root cause :  I guess is not the CVI environment

Could you clarify or explain what you need from me

Thanks

I've copied the relevant part of the post I had linked:

Select the "Build>>Distributions>>Edit <name>..." menu item, make sure the tab has focus (dotted box should be around one of the tab labels), and press Ctrl+Shift+L.  This will cause a detailed debug log to be written to your temp directory (Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp\distBuildDbg.log).  Build your distribution.

When you are prompted for disks, try to insert what it asks for. Once you get to the point where you think you're stuck, close CVI down. Then find the debug log and post it here. It will contain details that will be useful in understanding your situation.

It looks like you have posted a very old log:

[BEGIN LOG]  Fri Jan 06 07:54:13 2006

You may have made some mistake while following the log generation steps. I would recommend first deleting this file before you try creating the log again, just to make sure there aren't any mix ups.

To attach a file, right below the Post/Cancel buttons, you'll see a place you can enter Tags, then below that there is a link that says "Add Attachements".

I have found a working solution.... and I may close this issue

1.- I created a 'new' BUILD->EDIT session .....from scratch , only CVI run time was 'checked'

2.- The Build was done w/out errors , and did not asked me for any driver (CD/DVD,etc)

3.- I got the typical 'warning' that the apps. could fail (unless I had already installed such components)

4.- Since in my case these 'modules' were installed ...  I ran the setup.exe and looks OK

question: My rev 9.0.0 was installed (or purchased) on NOV 2008..... when is coming the next Rev ?

Thanks for all your time and great support

CVI 9.0.1 was recently released, and if you are on the SSP service plan, the disks should have been mailed to you. Besides that, I can't give any word on when the next release will be.
