Environment Color Preferences changing back..bug?

Hi,

I prefer to use a custom colors in LabWindows/CVI. I've created a color profile and exported the settings to a *.reg file (settings found in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments\CVI\7.1\ColorPreferences").

My problem is that after CVI has been running for a while, the colors change. They do not change back to the system colors, but to something else.. The time before this happens can vary from just minutes to hours. I've seen the window flash as it happens, so it may seem like this happens when some kind of window refresh event occurs.

Any ideas on this? Is there anyone that have experienced similar?
I'm running 8.5.0 (279)

I'm including some images which shows before (the way I want it) and after (what the color changes to). First I thought it was just the background color, but it isn't..

I have seen a similar issue if the system color depth is changed when CVI is running - this issue has been reported and will be fixed in the next release. When this issue happens on your system, are any of the system graphics options being changed? For example, if you are using a remote desktop client (or some other remote client) to interact with your machine and use different clients, then the system color can get changed and result in the issue - this is how I noticed the similar issue.

Thanks for the reply,

no, I'm not changing anything when it happens. I can just leave my computer alone and in some time the colors will change. It could be that the graphics driver does some kind of refresh in the background though.

I'm not using the computer through any kind of remote client when this happens. I have VNC-server installed and running, but I'm not using it. I'm going to shut it down to see if VNC has something to do with it.

To the risk of reviving an old thread (and that no one sees it), I have a
similar problem. Simply put, the IDE colors I set in [Options][Colors] don't
stick. If I close and re-open CVI, it's back to its default settings. I had
the same problem in 8.1. Never with previous versions.

I'd like to try new colors. Anyone has adapted Zenburn to CVI and has a
registry file I cant just load ?
