Error 1722 uninstalling CVI 6.0 (with 7.1.1 installed)

I cautiously upgraded to CVI 7.1.1, but kept 6.0 installed just in case. I'm now ready to uninstall 6.0.

However the uninstall hits Error 1722 and does not succeed.

I'm guessing that something about 7.1.1 is the problem - perhaps the missing 6.0 RTE? I have 6.0 and 7.1.1 in separate folders in the ..\Program Files\ folder.

I once saw a forum posting on uninstalling 6.0 after installing 7, but can't for the life of me find it with the search tool. What I recall is that after removing 6.0 I'll need to repair the 7.1.1 installation to restore the file associations that get wiped out, but otherwise what I'm attempting should be doable.

The problem has disappeared! I tried it again to see exactly what it was doing when it hit error 1722, and it uninstalled completed.

More proof that posting here willl get your problems solved! 😉
