Hello,
Since installing Labview et Labwindows 7 applications, a 5.01 software returns an error in the QuitUserInterface.
A similar error occurs sometimes on this computer when consulting the “+Software” Menu of MAX 3.0.1.3005.
The error looks like a Popup with an icon « red circle + white cross » (Windows message?)
It gots the title « TBS18.EXE-Erreur d’application » (TBS18 is the application name)
And texte message « L’instruction à 0x0D520FFF emploi l’adresse mémoire 0x0D51000. La mémoire ne peut pas être read » (translated as “The instruction at 0x0D520FFF uses the memory adress 0x0D51000. The memory can not be read »)
Could you indicate if there is restrictions to use 5.01 applications with 7 (or higher) runtime engine.
Thanks a lot
Richard

Hello Richard,
National Instruments maintains an upward compatibility with his development environments and an application developed with LabWindows/CVI 5.01 must run with the LabWindows/CVI 7.0 Run-Time. Nevertheless, it is always recommended to recompile the source files when your operating system or your development environment changes.
Concerning the TBS18.EXE application, I don't think that it is a National Instruments application. I suggest you to find out what is this application. If it as an application that you built with LabWindows/CVI 5.01, then try to recompile it with LabWindows/CVI 7.0.
Best regards,
