GenericMessagePopup text input box

I am wondering if there is a way for the text input box (what links to ReponseBuffer) to be populated with a default string?  It doesn't look there's a way to do this, but I thought I'd ask.  I'd like to prompt the user to specify a filename, but have a default name listed to start.  I know what your next question is going to be... Why don't I just use a FilePopup?  Well, normally I would, but I am sending a command to an instrument with a filename parameter, telling the instrument to save its state on its own hard drive with that filename.  A FilePopup is only used for the local PC.
