Giving back a pointer from a function (C99/CVI9.01)

my mind blew up after having a look at the screenshot. on a less serious forum, i would have sweared it was produced with photoshop... does this behavior happen on another computer ?

hi nick,

just after some little code-changes the trouble appeared again (...free memory not allocated by malloc...). I didnt change anything and loaded the complete project up to your FTP-server. the name is MPE_PIP_1.ZIP.

thanks and best regards

Hey Simon -

I checked a number of times yesterday to see if the file would post, but it doesn't look like it did.  Are you sure you were able to upload the zip file to ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming ?  I'm unable to find it on our site, could you try again?

hi nick, ok, its a great amount of data and I'm not sure all come up correctly. I'll try it out one more time tomorrow. by the way may be interesting: I checked "mark this project for compilation" and this didnt help. then I deleted the cvibuild-directory manually, build the project one more time and this helped. there must be a difference. best regards Simon

hi nick,

sorry for delay, I shrinked the project now (no help etc.) and transported it to your ftp. It would be great if you would have a look on it. by the way: I have a stable bug in CVI 9.01 if I call the Function Panel of the "SetCtrlAttribute()"-Function and want to select the available attribute by using the selection-tool of CVI (showing the selection of the kind of GUI-element and the possible attributes you know...). this results in an unrecoverable error and CVI says bye.

best regards

Simon

Hey Simon,

I just wanted to let you know that I've gotten your files and will take a look ASAP.

Also, the other issue you've reported is a known bug.  More info here.

Hey Simon,

I'm having a little trouble getting your project up and running.  May I get your email address from the forum administrator so that we can take this offline until I'm able to get the application running?

Thanks
