HEX Value in the instrument I/O assistant and anylsed the results

i have a device, that i connect seriall and that i controll with HEX comandos.

I know i can send HEX-value with then syntax \16\254\03\81\17\1\116. (all values in Dec).

But i become errors by the read of the results.

One results have the syntax 10 FE 01 06 15 10 FE 56 32 2E 31 37 20 4D 6F 64 20 31 C8 (all in Hex) the result include the string V2.17 Mod 1.

But the asistent disburse the notice "configuration faultily - Timeout".

Can me help someone there my problem is.
