How can I improve the IMAQ image on a 256 color system

I'm using a Matrox GenesisLC frame grabber that is also the VGA video interface and has a 256 color limit. I'm displaying images unsing IMAQ_CVI. Is there a way to imporvt the grayscale image in this situation? Gray colors are missing.

No, I don't believe so. Grayscale images are 256 shades of gray. Your system has 256 colors for ALL colors, not just shades of gray so many are missing. You could post your question to the Vision section of Dev Exchange here to see if the IMAQ experts know anything that might help.
