Document ID 0S5HSN0Z describes a way to do this for CVI Version 4. This method involves saving the UIR file in text format, editing the text file, and then reloading. CVI 6 appears to not support saving UIR files in text format.

Saving UIRs in text format is already possible in CVI 6.0 (and in 7.0 too...)
You find the correct item in the Options... menu of the UIR editor.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
