How is "waveform" array in scopedemo example initialized?

The waveform displays nicely on my PC, which has no instruments connected to it.  I've been unable to trace where the data is coming from.

The data is generated in function scope_read_waveform in the 'scope.fp' function panel code (scope.c). This is found e.g. in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI71\instr.
