How to display national characters in your text messages?

I'd like to be able display Polish characters as my system goes to Poland. I have a Polish keyboard driver installed and I can use Polish characters in WordPad. When I enter them in my message boxes they looke like in a picture attached. I was expecting more like: ł,ó,ń,ć,ź etc.

I am running CVI 8.5 with XP.

Hi Cimteker,


In addition to adding Polish as an installed service for your PC's input language (Start»Settings»Control Panel»Regional and Language Options»Languages Tab»Details...) you must also  change the Language for non-Unicode Programs option to Polish  (on the Advanced tab of the Regional and Language Options Dialog box).


If you completed the first change but not the second, this might explain why you saw  the text you expected in  notepad, but not LabWindows/CVI.
