How to enter static text on a panel

This is a real basic question, but I am new to CVI and am just creating my second panel.  What has stumped me is how to enter static text anywhere on a panel.  In VC++ 6.0, I am used to selected a "static text" object.  But I can't seem to find in the equivalent in the user interface editor in CVI.  What am I overlooking?

In the text menu drop down, select the text message control type.

That should be what you are looking for.
