Hi,
I need to read an excel file (.XLS) using LabWindows 6.0 without having to open excel. Does anybody know of a function to do this directly?

You need to use ActiveX automation of Excel. There are example programs under cvi\samples\activex\excel that will help you figure out how to do it.
