10C Anritsu Spectrum Analyzer. I need to know if buying the Labwindows /CVI full suite I can measure via GPIB the duration in time domain of a pulse, from a frecuency hoping signal coming from the frecuency domain, by using FFT-1 functions+ math operationsHello,
I dont understand how you want to get the pulse read through GPIB. GPIB is usually used to send commands and receive data from an instrument in a string format. If your instrument is capable of sending you the pulse or the information of the pulse through the GPIB then of course it can be done. Once you get the data in CVI you can use the mathematic functions to analyze it.
If you are planning to analyze directly the pulse coming out of an instrument or something, then you might better consider using DAQ instead of GPIB.
There are several documents on how to measure pulse width in our web page. But most of them uses DAQ cards. Again if the data of the pulse is been given by the instrument, then you can do it with no problem with GPIB.
You can
download an eval version of CVI
Eval Version
You can also call (800) 531-5066 (U.S.) to get more information about DAQ and CVI
Hope this helps.
