IMAQ 5 installation fails with CVI 6

Upgraded Labwindows 5.5 to version 6, and had to reinstall IMAQ
(version 5)
However it failed, since I can not get it to sow me the option to
support CVI, only C/C++;
When reinstalled CVI 5.5, IMAQ can be installed again.
Evidenlty the IMAQ setup is looking for some information
(possibly in the registry) signals that the CVI 5.5 has been
installed, but it does not recognize the corrsponding CVI 6
settings. What can be done to avoid this miserable double-setup
situation (beside buying IMAQ 6, which I do not want to do righ
now)

Hello

Since this looks like an issue of using an older version of IMAQ with a newer version of CVI, the best thing do would be to call in technical support for the Image Aquisition\Vision group.

You can generate a service request online and get a 800 number to call in with if you go to http://ni.com/ask. Plus generating your service request number online will give you priority access to the applications engineers.

So you called in and no one helped you out?
You might have been on hold for a little while, but that might have been becuase of a surge in call volume. But it is the Image Aquisition/Vision group that will be able to help you setup Vision 5 with CVI 6.0
