I tried all versions which means I had prior to installing CVI 2010: installed and then uninstalled CVI 9.0, installed CVI 9.0, ... and so on :-(. But I got always the same error message during the installation process :-(.

Out of curiosity, had you also installed and then uninstalled CVI 9.0 in that computer, prior to installing CVI 2010?
