LV 6.1 and CrypKey

I am using CrypKey via a legacy VB6 OCX to provide licensing services to an EXE built from LV code via the application builder. I want to migrate the VB6 code to LV native code and am running into difficulties with the port. The problems are compounded by my difficulties in talking to both kenonic (the developer of CrypKey) and NI as neither one seems to know anything at all about the other.

Has anyone here used CrypKey in native LV code? If not, is there anyone here who can help me further sort this out? I can provide further details re: the exact difficulties but it will probably be easiest if someone already has some experience with this precise context.
