Labview CVI7.0, PXI-6070E measure pulsewidth

Looking for code examples to measure pulsewidth (5volt pk, 100us ) using PXI-6070E Dev2 "ACH0" and display results in Edit text box. For stable results, do I need to trigger on another channel?

Chris

Hello Chris,

Thank you for posting to the NI Forums. The best method for finding example code is to access the Example Finder within CVI (Help>>Find Examples). With the NI-DAQmx driver installed, you will be able to open pulse width examples by clicking Hardware Input/Output>>DAQmx>>Counter Measurements>>Period or Pulse Width. There are two Pulse Width Examples listed there.

I'm not sure what you mean by "stable results." If you would like to elaborate on that, I would be happy to help. Have a great day!

Hi Margaret,

Thank you!

What I’ve meant by stable results; is the accuracy on catching the rising edge of single pulse.

Test: Start  ___2secs____| pulse |_ Stop

Best Regards,

Chris

Hello Chris,

I think that obtaining stable results will not be an issue with the example that I suggested. Give it a try and let me know if you have problems. Have a great day!
