Lost Environment Color Preferences

I use Labwindows/CVI 8.1.1 FDS. When I change colors of Integer, Real Number and String in dialog "Environment Color Preferences" and I suspend to disk my PC and then (next day) I woke up my PC the color preferences are lost. What's wrong?

Hey Peter,

These settings are stored in a registry key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments\CVI\8.1\ColorPreferences.  Are you either logging in as a different user, or is there any other process that could be modifying the registry?  For instance, some scripts that are run at startup at corporations might set the current user settings to a certain configuration.
Thanks,

I have the same problem seemingly anytime any of my desktop or windows colors changes. I DON'T have my environment set to use system colors but something as simple changing my desktop image, icon size...etc.. resets my CVI environment colors... very annoying.  How about letting me save them to a file? or having some normal presets to choose from that include one with a black background similar to every other text editor I've ever used.

Currently I'm resorting to exporting the registry entries or just manually changing them all back.  Still, this is something so simple to do properly in the IDE that shouldn't be an issue.

My colleague tried to install CVI 8.1.1 on a fresh WXP SP2 and it worked fine. Actualy I have got many applications on my PC and I do not want to reinstall OS because of what CVI does. I am waiting for WXP SP3 or new CVI 8.5.
