MAX won't run

Help!

I was working on a test and needed to look at an example for synchronizing two DAQmx devices clocks.  When I tried to load the example, it said it wasn't there and needed to be installed.  So, I installed my DVD and re-installed the DAQmx drivers as well as some information that was labeled synchronization or something like that.  That software installed fine and I was able to load the example and get the information I was looking for.  At some point during this, I tried to load MAX to see what my configuration was set at because it stated that a certain card had to be in position 2 in the rack for the synchronization to work.

When I tried to load MAX in came up with the splash screen, said updating configuration, then said loading plug-ins, then the splash screen disappeared and then nothing ever happened....MAX never came up!  This was the first time I had encountered this, so I tried loading it again with the same results.  I then tried to repair MAX and it still did the same thing.  So, I uninstalled MAX and then re-installed it and it did the same thing.  I then completely wiped all of the NI software off my machine by uninstalling everything.  I then got the latest DVD for CVI and installed it onto my machine.  It all installed fine and then asked me to install the drivers DVD.  I installed this DVD and installed all of the drivers from the latest, greatest Labview 2011 DVD.  When this was all complete I was checking things out and then decided to run MAX.

When I ran MAX with this new install, the first time it came up, it came up with the message that said," The last time this was tried to run it had problems, etc., etc.".  I thought this was odd since I had uninstalled everything and then re-installed.  All I can think is that the uninstall doesn't actually get rid of everything because it still knew the last time I ran it, it failed.

When I said continue...it went to the MAX splash screen, said it was loading plug-ins, and then once again...didn't load.  I am at a total loss as to what is going on since none of the fixes or installs has fixed the problem.  When it fails to run it creates two log files so I am attaching those to this post.  Can someone at NI please tell me what I need to do to fix this issue???

NOTE:  I had to add a .log to the end of the .dmp file because the forum wouldn't let me attach a file with a .dmp file extension!  Might be something to change????  Also, the .txt file is usually a .log file, but for some reason the last time it showed up in the directory as a .txt file...not sure why.

Thanks so much!!

It is best to close all NI applications when installing new NI Software, especially MAX. It is possible that opening MAX during the installation caused a database corruption. Then when MAX is attempting to load, it has an internal error because of corrupt data in the database. Try this procedure to see if you clear any corrupt data.

I read the instructions for this and downloaded the program that does it automatically.  I ran the .exe file and followed the instructions which renamed my files and then supposedly fixed the issues with corruption.  I then re-booted and then tried to run MAX again and once again I get the splash screen and then nothing.  It never loads up.  Can you tell anything from the files I originally attached??  What else can I do to try and fix this issue??

Thanks,
