Missing Data Acquisition Library in Labwindows/CVI 6.0

When I run Labwindows/CVI 6.0, the Data Acquisition Library is missing. It's visible under the Library menu, but it is greyed out. If I run version 5.5 it isn't missing.

From project manager open menu: Options->Library Options... and click Data
Acquisition check box, then restart CVI.

The NI-DAQ installer adds the library to CVI. It sounds like you installed NI-DAQ when you had CVI 5.5 and haven't since you added CVI 6.0. You could go back through NI-DAQ Setup (should be in your start menu) and add CVI support for NI-DAQ. It should add it to the new CVI location.

I really can't do much more to diagnose the problem via this forum. You should probably call our application engineers here at NI and let them help you diagnose the problem. You can generate a service request for the call via http://www.ni.com/ask.

Check the directory paths on your NI installation. You may have a \blah\National Instruments\Measurement Studio\ and a \blah\National Instruments\MeasurementStudio\.
If so, the easist way to correct it is to copy the one with less in it into the one with more in it. The hardest way is to reinstall, paying close attention to the spaces in your paths. I just copied the contents of each sub-directory of the one with the space into the corresponding sub-directory of the one without the space, and it seemed to correct the problem. Make sure you merge the directories, rather than destroying the destination dir. You could probably also just add the other to your library path.
