Multi threading or Pragma omp parallele

Hi,

I m quiet new in multi threading world. In my program i have a lot of instruments to initialize and that take quiet a long time . I was wondering to initialize those instruments in parallele but i m a bit confuse about which way is the best . Could somebody tips me ?
