NI 488.2 Errors

Hi,
I'm using Labview 8.0, Windows2000, a NI 488.2 USB to GPIB converter and an HP3457A Meter. I get a valid reading out but it also generates an Error -1073807339 or Hex BFFF001D.
I also find that the output buffer remains loaded with an extra "reading" so on the next read I have to read twice to get the old data out of the buffer. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi,

Firstly, it would have been better to post this to the LabVIEW forum.

Are you using a instrument driver, and if what and where did you obtain this driver.
If not do you know what command you are performing to get this error. The error is associated with a specified attribute being sent which is not supported by the instrument.
